About Us
Dr Todd Wilbee is a native of London, Ontario. He did his undergraduate studies at the University of Western Ontario in London. He completed his Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo in 1999. He moved to Essex in 2001 to start a family with his wife Janet. He opened Essex Optometric Clinic in 2004. He stays active with his two children Luke and Rachel. He has volunteered his time to the community with the Essex BIA and Essex Minor Baseball Association. He is also affiliated with East Riverside Optometry and Belle River Optometric Clinic
Dr. Kara Jones was raised in Kingsville, Ontario and is a recent graduate who is excited to return to Essex County. She attended Cardinal Carter Catholic Secondary School, and went on to study biology at the University of Windsor. Kara graduated with honours from the University of Waterloo’s Doctor of Optometry program in 2019, earning the Ontario Association of Optometrists Award for Excellence in Patient Management. In her spare time, Kara enjoys quilting, playing with her corgi, and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Jones is thrilled to be a new addition to the amazing team at Essex Optometric Clinic
